Civic Engagement & Leadership Empowerment

Urban League of Long Island Young Professionals (ULLIYPs):

The Urban League of Long Island, Inc. enlists the support of our auxiliary organization towards the fulfillment of our civic engagement and leadership empowerment goals.  This auxiliary, The Urban League of Long Island Young Professionals (ULLIYPs), is comprised of community volunteers, ages 21 to 40, who serve as a base of support for the Urban League of Long Island.  These individuals engage in community service and professional development activities with the overarching goal of promoting and fulfilling the mission of the Urban League Movement on Long Island.  Key activities of the Urban League of Long Island Young Professionals include:

  • Monthly YP General Body Meetings
  • Monthly YP Community Service Projects
  • Monthly YP Empowerment Hour” Networking Mixers
  • Co-Facilitators of the National Achievers Society
  • Annual YPs at Sea Benefit Boat Ride
  • Annual Thanksgiving Day of Service
  • Annual Holiday Toy & Clothing Drive
